Biore is owned by a company, Kao Brands company . Kao Brands began as a company called Jergens Soap Company and was founded in 1882. The company has grown into an innovator of beauty produces that enhances the well-being, health, and appearance of women worldwide.
Jergens first started selling coconut oil soap and began to grow and expand almost immediately. Jergens bought over John H. Woodbury company and added the most popular facial soap of the Woodbury company, Woodbury Facial Soap, into their product line of beauty products. Jergens also merged with the Robert Eastman Company to further grow their company. Eastman's best formula soon became the Jergen's Lotion, the number one selling hand lotion in America.
In 1988, a Japanese company, Nagase Shoten, who launched the first Japanese genuine high quality toliet bar soap, merged with Jergens and in 2004, Jergens was renamed Kao Brands company.
Kao Brands product grew to become one of the best known brands in women's beauty worldwide. With many brands like Ban deodorants, Jergens and Curiel hand and body soaps, Biore facial care and many other big brands in women's beauty.
The North American and European Beauty Care includes operations in the Middle East, Australia and serve 54 markets worldwide.
